Judicial Branch (Article III)

Constitutional Connection:
Article III, Section 1: "The Judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The judges, both of the supreme and inferior courts, shall hold their offices during good behavior, and shall, at stated time, receive for their services, a compensation, which shall not be diminished during their continuance in office."

Analysis of the Connection:
The Judicial Branch is in charge of the courts and enforcing the laws of the United States but not all of them are professional. Some judges are taking illegal sick days so they can get paid. For example "Judge Patrick B. Murphy of Alhambra who was thrown off the bench for collecting $133,000 salary while attending medical school in the Caribbean. The Judge missed a total of 157 days of work in 1999 alone - 400 days since 1996. In may of 2001, a commission to investigate Judged Murphy charged him with 'persistent failure or inability to perform judicial duties' as well as failing to give precedence to his Judaical duties and making false claims of illness. Judicial watch bring to light Murphy's transgressions. On May 10' 2001, the commission voted unanimously to remove Judge Murphy from the branch." ("Victories - Exposing Corrupt Judges. A judged should not take bribes from anyone no matter how much money they have or how cute they look. Judges should be a big part off helping us clean our neighborhoods and making the streets safe for the next generation. As you can seen from my blog we are suppose to follow laws, but how could we follow the laws if the judges are not following the laws theirselves.
