Legislative Branch (Article I #2)

Source: "The Constitution of the United States of America" April 22, 2010
http://www.midnightbeach.com/jon/US-Constitution.htm#1

Constitutional Connection: Article I, Section 5: "Each House may determine the rules of its proceedings, punish its members for disorderly behavior, and, with the concurrence of two thirds, expel a member."

Analysis of the Connection: Each House should not be able to make up their own rules for their house. Now, I understand that each House has a different situation and a different perspective, but that does not give them the power to make up their own rules for punishing one of their members. Each House should have the same rules, and have the same consequences.

  1. Hey Gella,

Your blog set-up looks great--but you need to find articles, political cartoons, videos, etc. that your read about constitutional issues--not just analyze the constitution itself.
